INKLINGS
An inkling is a fluid notion that comes before a conscious thought. I’ve named my ongoing series of drawings Inklings because they come from this place of intuition and spontaneity. Using a combination of pen, marker, ink and watercolor, I hand draw each Inkling without a plan or final composition in mind. The works often have a figurative element, but evade a clear interpretation. The pieces ignite the mind’s drive to interpret and ascribe meaning, inviting the viewer to become conscious of the ways in which their own perception constructs meaning.
